WASM can become abstract very quickly: binary modules, imports, memory, runtimes, toolchains, and browser APIs all arrive at once.
TinyGo helps because it gives a compact path from Go code to a browser-loaded module. Nuxt adds a second layer: how does a real app load, isolate, and call a WASM module without turning the page into a pile of script tags?
The useful learning path is:
- write a small Go function,
- compile it with TinyGo,
- load it in the browser,
- pass data across the JavaScript/WASM boundary,
- wrap the result in a real UI,
- document the build and debugging loop.
Product Notes
WASM should earn its place. It is useful when the browser needs speed, portability, reuse of non-JavaScript code, or a constrained runtime for a specific task.
For most UI work, JavaScript is enough. The interesting WASM projects are the ones where the boundary is clear: image processing, text processing, simulation, parsing, cryptography, or other compute-heavy jobs.
